MYERSVILLE, Md. (DC News Now) -- The anticipation on students' faces was more than touching as they walked into the gym at Myersville Elementary School.
Students and staff were all dressed in purple for a special surprise as the Baltimore Raven cheerleaders, band and "Poe" came together for the Baltimore Raven's Caravan tour
"We do have a large Ravens fan base here so emotions were high heading into the pep rally," Dana Austin said.

"I was so happy because I've been watching Ravens games longer than I can remember, and my biggest dream is to be a Ravens cheerleader when I grow up," fifth-grade student Bailey Beach said.
"The cheerleaders are my favorite because my aunt is one, but also the mascot and basically everything," another fifth-grade student, Kenleigh Mills, said.
Myersville Elementary principal Dana Austin said being selected as one of the stops continues their school mission.
"We talk about Mustang pride a lot and we even have our own team cheer," Austin explained. "This just really showed the kids what it's like to root for a team, and supports our vision of rooting for each other."
"I think we did great and we worked hard to get this surprise," fifth-grade student Logan McDonald said.
"I hope to be part of the team one day."
The Ravens caravan is set to visit a few other schools in Frederick County as well as some in Washington County.
