NATIONAL CITY, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A San Diego County Sheriff's Department deputy was injured in a shooting in National City Friday, authorities confirmed. The incident occurred just after 1:45 p.m. in the area near the 200 block of Mile of Cars Way, the sheriff's office said. Details about what led up to the shooting are not known at this time. At least one deputy and one of the suspects were injured. The injured suspect was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities confirmed to FOX 5/KUSI at the scene.
