SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A Springfield family will soon have a brand new home thanks to volunteers with Habitat for Humanity.
On Friday, employees from MGM Springfield were sawing, hammering, and more to help construct the three-bedroom home in the North End. MGM Springfield's president and CEO, Louis Theros, told 22News they're happy to be doing a little bit of everything to help.

"We're adding some siding here, we're cutting some support beams across for the attic to put some mechanical," said Theros. "They're doing just cleaning, they're caulking windows from the inside to make sure they're sealed to meet all Massachusetts building codes."
Since 1987 Habitat for Humanity has built or repaired nearly 130 homes in the Springfield area.
