GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Drivers in Greenfield should be prepared for delays while paving projects begin across the City. According to the Greenfield Department of Public Works (DPW), beginning October 2, there will be multiple milling and paving operations that will impact traffic and parking. Truck stuck under railroad trestle in West Springfield No on-street parking will be allowed on those streets where milling and paving are taking place. All work is weather dependent and the City will provide updates if delays occur. Below is the listing of dates and locations of the scheduled road construction: MILLING SCHEDULE: Wednesday, October 2, 2024 Newell Pond Road Lakeview Drive Long Avenue Thursday, October 3, 2024 Shattuck Street Cross Street Clevland Street, from Chapman Street to End at Railroad Tracks Clevland Street, from Davis Street to Chapman Street Friday, October 4, 2024 Chapman Street, from North End of Chapman Courts to Pierce Street Court Square (City Hall will remain open during the Court Square repaving. The building’s parking lot will be accessible through the Main Street side entrance, located next to Veteran’s Mall. The roadway, which is typically a one-way entrance to the parking lot, will accommodate traffic from both ends via a traffic officer on location.)
