We’re keeping an eye on the remnants of what was major Hurricane Helene as it wreaks havoc from the Mid-South to the Mid-Atlantic. What’s left of the storm has brought flooding/flash flooding, wind damage, and severe weather to millions of people across the country. While the results will not be nearly as extreme, Helene will even impact us in New England… in fact it already is. The high clouds we’ve seen today actually come from the storm– its reach is just that far. Those clouds will hang around tonight, but it’ll be a calm cool night in the upper 50s. Tomorrow will bring a mix of sun and clouds, and we can’t entirely count out a shower or two. That said, Saturday doesn’t look like a soaker. High temperatures will be in the low 70s. Sunday looks nice and dry, with a mix of sun and clouds and temperatures in the upper 60s. We have a similar feeling Monday and Tuesday, although more clouds creep in. Wednesday is our next chance for rain. What’s left of Helene’s moisture will get absorbed into an area of low pressure which will creep to our south at the same time that a cold front moves in from the west. This will result in some showers, and perhaps a rumble of thunder, Wednesday into very early Thursday. Friday, on the other hand, looks magnificent! Categories: News, Weather Forecast
