Man stabbed, involved in motor vehicle accident in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said a man was stabbed and involved in a motor vehicle accident after taking “mind altering substances” on Sept. 26.
Police received a 911 call from the victim around 9:15 p.m. when he told them that, after taking the substances, he went to a liquor store and pawn broker on Elmwood Avenue.
The victim told police that a female approached him, produced a knife, and attempted to rob him.
Police said the victim attempted to drive to the hospital but lost consciousness on the way.
He sustained a laceration to his cheek, finger, and possible stabbing in the back of the neck.
