PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The Alzheimer's Association will be holding Walks to End Alzheimer's across New England each weekend this September and October. Thousands of supporters are expected to attend the 2024 Walk to End Alzheimer’s Sunday in Providence this Sunday, Sept. 29. Once again, 12 News anchor Mike Montecalvo is serving as the emcee for the opening ceremonies and WPRI 12 and FOX Providence are proud sponsors of the event. Register or Donate The Alzheimer's Association provides education and support to all those facing Alzheimer’s and other dementias throughout our community, including those living with the disease, caregivers, health care professionals, and families. The cause is also committed to advocating for the needs and rights of those facing Alzheimer’s disease and advancing critical research toward methods of treatment, prevention, and, ultimately, a cure.
