INDIANAPOLIS — After winning the AP WNBA Rookie of the Year award last week, Fever star Caitlin Clark has now officially been named the WNBA's top first-year player. Various sources confirmed Friday that Clark, the number one draft pick last year out of Iowa, has been crowned the top rookie in the W. Clark averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game in 40 outings this season. Clark had a historic year, breaking various Fever and WNBA rookies records while leading Indiana to the team's first playoff appearance since 2016. The rookie sensation is now the second Fever player in a row to be crowned the best first-year player in the WNBA. Last season, Aliyah Boston won ROTY after being selected #1 overall out of South Carolina. For more information on the Fever's historic season, click here.
