APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - Appleton's Octoberfest Weekend kicked off on Friday with its License to Cruise event, which includes over 400 vehicles on display in downtown Appleton. But, Fox Cities Chamber officials have introduced a new feature of License to Cruise this year, with the 'Car Smash' event where participants can pay $10, which will to go a local non-profit for the opportunity to whack an old car three times with a baseball bat. Edison Middle School students work to build greenhouse as outdoor classroom "It's an opportunity to take out some of your rage on a stripped-down car that all of the fluids and glass have been removed," CEO/President of Fox Cities Chamber Becky Bartoszek said. So, for anybody who has a desire to help out some local charities while also taking out some stress on an old vehicle, make sure to visit License to Cruise. There will be special interest vehicles showcased in the Expo Center as well.
