FOX CROSSING, Wis. (WFRV) - The Fox Crossing Fire Department (FCFD) responded to a fire early on Friday morning at a large manufacturing building in Fox Crossing. According to the release, crew members responded at around 2:18 a.m. to the 1200 Block of Ehlers Rd. as a report came in about a fire alarm and rising water flow. The first unit arrived and reported smoke coming from a large industrial manufacturing building, with the sprinklers activated and an active fire. Those on the scene went into the building to heavy smoke conditions, as multiple hoses were put into the building in an extinguishing effort and to search for hot spots. A hole cut in the roof helped remove smoke and heat. The fire was brought under control by officials within an hour. One firefighter was injured and taken to a local hospital but released a few hours later. No damage estimate has been made, but the fire remains under investigation.
