Wisconsin man charged with illegally possessing firearm with machine gun conversion device

MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) - A 22-year-old Wisconsin man has been formally charged in federal court, accused of possessing a firearm as a felon and possessing a firearm with a machine gun conversion device.
According to a release, Jontrae Larsen, 22, of Madison, allegedly possessed a Glock 17 handgun with a machine gun conversion device from Nov. 22, 2023, through on or about Jan. 6, 2024.

A machine gun conversion device converts a handgun from semi-automatic to fully automatic. Machine gun conversion devices are illegal, as are any firearms with the devices.
Larsen faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted on both charges.
