EAU PLEINE, Wis. (WFRV) - One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 153 Friday morning in Marathon County. According to a release, at around 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 27, deputies with the Marathon County Sheriff's Office responded to a two-vehicle crash in the Eau Pleine near the intersection of State Highway 153 and County Highway E. Carjacking suspects arrested after shooting toward resident while trying to steal vehicle One driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other driver was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The names of those involved in the crash were not given in the release. The Marathon County Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident and is asking motorists traveling in the area to use caution as traffic is detoured to alternate routes.
