Local Living: Peanut Boil, Five after Five Concert, SC State Fair giveaway, RCSD’s Faith Blue

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, you can attend the 17th annual Peanut Boil on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2024.
Teams will compete for the title of best billed peanut in the state.
There will also be live music, food, beverages, and fun for the whole family.
The event takes place from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Devine Street.
All proceeds go toward Animal Mission’s spay and neuter program.
Due to the severe weather, Five after Five Concert has been rescheduled.
It has been moved to Thursday, October. 10, at the Five Points Fountain from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
You can enjoy a Jimmy Buffett Tribute night with Gary Roland and the Landsharks Band.
Food and beverage trucks will be available and it’s free to attend.
ABC Columbia is hosting a ticket giveaway for the South Carolina State Fair.

The state fair starts Oct. 9, and runs through Oct. 20.
Richland County Sheriff’s Department is hosting its Faith & Blue unity in the community event this Saturday, Sept. 27.
It’s from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Meeting Place Church on Columbia Mall Boulevard.
There will be a food truck, plenty of activities for the kids, a bounce house, and much more.
