METAIRIE, La. (BRPROUD) -- The New Orleans Saints will be without two key leaders Sunday in Atlanta. Linebacker Demario Davis and right guard Cesar Ruiz were both ruled out for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, head coach Dennis Allen announced Friday. Davis suffered a hamstring injury late in the game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He did not practice this week. Davis' injury opens up more opportunities for linebacker Willie Gay, Jr. Sunday. Ruiz missed practice this week with a knee injury. Ruiz is the second offensive lineman to be ruled out this week with center Erik McCoy being placed on injured reserve Wednesday after having surgery for a groin injury he suffered during Week 3 against the Eagles. With Ruiz out Sunday, the Saints will play Sunday without all five offensive line starts from last season. Wide receiver Cedrick Wilson is questionable for Sunday with an ankle injury he suffered during practice Thursday. Will there be extra motivation for this year’s Saints-Falcons rivalry game?
