BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The city of Bakersfield has collected nearly 150 thousand pounds of trash at bulky waste collection events so far this year. At the most recent bulky waste event on Stockdale Highway Sept. 14, city officials collected more than 21,500 pounds of trash.
