BAKERSFIELD, CALIF. (KGET) -- The California Living Museum (CALM) is bringing back its Boo at the Zoo event for the 19th year, with festivities running from Oct. 16 through Oct. 20. The family-friendly celebration sponsored by Denny's, will be held daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Digital Addiction: How parents can get kids away from screens The event offers a unique spin on Halloween with activities like games, prizes, and fall-themed decorations, along with special animal experiences such as watching CALM's residents enjoy Jack-o-lanterns stuffed with goodies. Tickets cost $5 for kids aged 3-12 years, $12 for adults, and $9 for seniors. Calm members, military personnel, and veterans can get it for free. Tickets can be purchased advance online or at the gift shop, and will also be sold at the gate during the event. Alongside the Halloween fun, Boo at the Zoo will have $5 pumpkins for sale, unlimited rides on the Central California Children’s Railroad for just $2, and encourage all guests to wear their costumes. On Oct. 16 and 17, the event will feature Toddler days, designed especially for children ages 3 to 5, with games and activities tailored for younger visitors. CALM is currently accepting donations of candy and small toys for the event. The donation candy should not contain chocolate, nuts, or gums.
