PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- The Prince George's County Police Department (PGPD) has released the name of the man who was shot and killed while sitting in a car outside a liquor store in Mount Rainier on Sept. 23. The victim was identified as 22-year-old Freiver Yanez-Salas, of Washington, D.C. As of Friday, homicide detectives are still working to identify a suspect and a motive for the shooting. AMBER Alert: DC police searching for missing 14-year-old last seen in Northwest Police said on Monday around 7:30 p.m., Mount Rainier police officers were called to the 3400 block of Rhode Island Avenue for a shooting. There, they found Yanez-Salas inside the vehicle with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene. Police said two additional victims, a man and a woman, were also shot and taken to the hospital with critical injuries. Stephon Jackson told DC News Now that he felt like things were getting worse, but for the violence to stop, people have to change. “The police frequently [patrol] this area pretty much. It’s really the people that have to change, you know, it’s really nothing we can do about it,” said Jackson.  PGPD said a reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
