DC News Now celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with inspiring leader stories

Washington, D.C. (DC News Now) --- DC News Now is highlighting stories about iconic Hispanic and Latino leaders and organizations in the D.C., Md., and Northern Virginia areas for this year's Hispanic Heritage Month Special.
The special features interviews with Washington Nationals Spanish Play-by-Play announcers, the first Latino American Olympic artist living in Prince George's County, Md. and a Venezuelan American art curator in Loudoun County, VA. The special will air on September 29, 2024.
Our host, Brandy Flores, sat down with the Spanish broadcast announcers for the Washington Nationals games to discuss the importance of creating content for all their fans.
World Heart Day highlights heart health, disease prevention strategies
Jesse Raudales is the first Latino American to represent the USA as an Olympic Artist.
He achieved this honor in 2006 while living in Los Angeles and has since moved to Prince George's County where he continues to create art.
In Loudoun County, Maria A. Brito curated an art exhibit called 'Our Roots' to celebrate the contributions and rich culture of the Hispanic and Latino community.
