An 18-year-old woman accused of shooting five people outside a Denver bar in September 2023 took a plea deal Friday morning in Denver District Court. In a Friday morning hearing, Keanna Rosenburgh pleaded guilty to one count of attempted first-degree murder naming eight victims and a felony crime of violence sentence enhancer. Rosenburgh originally faced 28 charges — including seven counts of attempted murder and 15 counts of assault — in connection with a shooting outside Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in LoDo last year that injured five people. The plea deal dropped the remaining 27 charges from Rosenburgh’s case. The woman was not sentenced Friday morning but, in the plea deal, agreed to a sentence of 5 to 7 years in the Youthful Offender System and a suspended 21-year sentence in the Department of Corrections. If Rosenburgh completes the Youthful Offender System sentence and meets all the terms, she will not go to the Department of Corrections, Denver District Judge Demetria Trujillo said during Friday’s hearing. Police said she returned to talk with security staff and, when walking away for a second time, pulled out a firearm and began shooting in the direction of the bar. Five people were injured in the shooting and all survived their injuries, Denver police officials said. Rosenburgh will next appear in court for a sentencing hearing on Jan. 22, 2025.
