TOPEKA (KSNT) - Award-winning authors will be visiting the Capital City this weekend for the 13th annual Kansas Book Festival at Washburn University. Book enthusiasts are encouraged to swing by the university on Saturday, Sept. 28 to take part in the festival which is being hosted by the Washburn Library. Multiple authors, including New York Times Bestsellers and winners of national book awards, will be in attendance for the festival. Kansas lottery player hits big $3.7M jackpot prize Participants can also expect other fun activities and events for the day such as outdoor performances, a book-art exhibit, food trucks and exhibitor tents. Visiting authors will also give several presentations on fiction, nonfiction, poetry and children's fiction throughout the day.
