SHEFFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Sheffield police are reminding drivers that the bridge is closed in Kellogg Road after a vehicle was caught on camera crossing. "Having a nice Jeep with BIG BIG tires and a SUPER COOL suspension system does not exempt you from the road closure," Sheffield police posted on Facebook. Chester boil water order lifted after two months The Town of Sheffield officially closed the bridge last Friday, September 20th due to an inspection by MassDOT. The report recommended the closure citing corrosion on the east end of the bridge. Plans for the bridge replacement are being developed by an engineering firm in collaboration with the Select Board and Town Administrator.
