COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) — Coventry firefighters responded to Club House Road Friday morning after reports of downed wires. Crews said the wire was so hot it melted the asphalt and began to crystallize. According to the town's fire chief, the incident caused a power outage in the area for several hours.
