Reward increased in July double homicide of Amite couple

AMITE, La. (WGNO) — Crimestoppers of Tangipahoa Parish have increased the reward in the case of an Amite double homicide that happened in July.
On July 23 at 5 a.m., the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office received a call from Chrissy Jenkins reporting to have been shot at a mobile home in the 600 block of MLK Street.

When they arrived, police reported finding Jenkins and her live-in boyfriend Christopher Hedgewood dead from gunshot wounds.
As the investigation remains ongoing, detectives continue to ask for the public's help in identifying a suspect in the case.

TPSO in partnership with Crimestoppers, has increased the reward from $5,000 to $10,000.
Sheriff Gerald Sticker is asking anyone with information on the crime to call the Criminal Investigations Office at 985-902-2008 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-554-5245.
