Lincoln Police cruiser. (Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Sept. 27)–Lincoln Police are investigating an extortion case reported Monday from a home near 44th and “P” Street. Captain Todd Kocian says a 24-year-old man used a social media app, when a nude photo of himself was sent to him by an unknown number. The other person threatened to share to his Facebook friends, if the victim didn’t pay $500. Captain Kocian says after the money was sent, the caller demanded another $500 and victim realized it was a scam. No additional money was sent. Captain Kocian cautions anyone from sharing explicit photos through social media and the Internet.
