Johnson Co. Sheriff Duane Burgess said that the success of the sex sting would not be possible without collaboration from various law enforcement agencies and prosecution teams.
"We continue to act with urgency to prevent these individuals from harming children," Sheriff Burgess said. "Each arrest we make is one less predator in our community, and that’s a step toward ensuring the safety of our children."
Prosecutor Lance Hamner echoed these sentiments in a statement.
"These operations are essential to stopping child exploitation," Hamner said. "Our partnership with law enforcement allows us to not only arrest these individuals but also hold them accountable through the judicial process."
JCSO ended its announcement by saying that local law enforcement is committed to continuing the fight against child predators and said all suspects arrested are innocent until proven guilty.
