A recent survey of 3,000 seasoned travelers has revealed that driving in Kailua, which is located on the east coast of Oʻahu, is amongst the most stress-free experiences in the United States. The study highlighted towns and cities that provide calm and enjoyable driving experiences. Many larger cities, such as New York City and Los Angeles, often suffer from traffic jams and aggressive drivers. These constant situations make the roads stressful for travelers. In contrast, Kailua's tropical surroundings and relaxed atmosphere contribute to a more pleasant drive, at least for visitors. “Driving in Kailua felt refreshing,” said one survey participant. “The roads were well-maintained, and the traffic was light. It was a perfect way to enjoy the beautiful scenery.” However, when KHON2.com reached out to a few Kailua residents to get their take on the survey results, one responded with this: "I don't understand who did this survey. We are inundated with traffic out here, and don't even get me started on that roundabout." -- Margo Ikaiko The survey aimed to identify places where courtesy among drivers is the norm, and Kailua exemplified this quality. With its serene beaches and scenic mountain views, the journey through Kailua can feel like an adventure rather than a hassle. Tyler Letson, a member of the survey team, noted, “In many of these cities, drivers exhibit a level of respect and courtesy that is often missing in larger urban areas.
