FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Since 2008, thousands of runners and walkers have been taking part in the Fort4Fitness Fall Festival. And this year that falls on Saturday, September 28. All races start on Harrison Street just north of the Harrison and Baker Street intersection (one block southeast of Parkview Field) in downtown Fort Wayne. It concludes with at Parkview Field. The course takes racers through historic Fort Wayne neighborhoods and past landmark churches. To keep the participants safe, the event requires roads included and along the route to be closed for a time. These are the major road closures and approximate closure times for Saturday, 9/28/24: Calhoun St from Brackenridge to Tillman from 7 AM – 11 AM Foster Park area from 8 AM – 12 PM South Wayne area from 7 AM – 12:30 PM Fairfield – Creighton area – 7 AM – 12:30 PM Parkview Field Area – 6 AM – 2 PM These are approximate and subject to change. There will be additional closures of some of the cross streets as well. The parking garages that are recommended are: Harrison Square, Skyline Plaza, and the Civic Garage.
