GASTONIA, N.C. — WCCB Meteorologist James Scott was live on-air reporting about a massive tree that fell across South York Street at West 4th Avenue in Gastonia when a vehicle nearly drove into the tree during the broadcast. The driver of the vehicle stopped just in time and then drove around the tree. This is a reminder to always stay aware when driving. Emergency officials are asking people to stay home if you don’t need to be on the road.
