Sep 27, 2024
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- Michelle Hamilton and Lisa Peterson from The Happy Tail Rescue in West Feliciana Parish introduced Frank, a 5-year-old Chihuahua Dachshund mix.
Frank is a sweet dog who is house-trained and kennel-trained. He'll do well with any loving family as he loves other dogs and people. His adoption fee is $250. That covers all his shots, vaccinations, and getting neutered. The fee also includes a six-month supply of heartworm medication.
The Happy Tail Rescue has over 40 dogs waiting to be adopted. There are different types of dogs to choose from. Anyone can visit the rescue to meet with the available dogs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday or from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.
The rescue has an exciting upcoming event called "Puppies & Pumpkins." This will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Tractor Supply in St. Francisville. There will be a costume contest for pets and kids, other fun activities and of course, pet adoptions.
