LAKEVILLE, Mass. (WLNE) — Lakeville police said they arrested a New Bedford man after he allegedly broke into a home with another suspect. 18-year-old Aidan Amaral was charged with breaking and entering and two counts of larceny over $1,200. According to officials, on Saturday Sept. 21 at approximately 4:16 a.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting that two suspects were breaking into a garage on County Street. The suspects allegedly stole two motorized dirt bikes from the garage, and then fled from the house. One of the dirt bikes, according to police, was equipped with an air tag, which allowed officers to track and recover the stolen property at a home in New Bedford. After a subsequent investigation, police arrested Amaral at the house. Police said the investigation into the second suspect remains active and ongoing. Categories: News
