Tropical moisture from Hurricane Helene is rapidly moving north and holding together with gusty winds and showers especially south and west of Fort Wayne. A Wind Advisory goes into effect this afternoon for areas south and west of Fort Wayne until 11 pm. Winds will gust up to 40 mph today and tonight.

Skies will be mostly cloudy, with showers possible in areas south of Fort Wayne through late this morning. Temperatures will be in the lower 70s by lunchtime.
Rain will become likely this afternoon and evening.
Winds pick up this afternoon with gusts up to 40 mph with showers through late this afternoon and this evening.

Gusty winds will continue with gusts of 40 mph until midnight. Showers will become scattered overnight.
Drought actually gets worse in some areas
Rain will be widely scattered during the day on Saturday and winds will diminish to under 15 mph.
Showers will be more likely Saturday and continue into Sunday with near steady temperatures in the lower 70s through Sunday.
The rain will end Sunday night but clouds will stick around Monday with high temperatures in the middle 70s.
Sunshine and drier conditions will be prevalent through next week with highs warming into the upper 70s by the end of next week.
