BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Baton Rouge Police Department has made an arrest in connection to a deadly shooting that happened on Kansas Street in June. Baton Rouge emergency medical services responded to the 1900 block of Kansas Street around 4:40 p.m. on June 4. Police said James Caples, 21, was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries. According to the police, Gabriel Bazile, 18, was arrested on Sept. 25 and charged with negligent homicide.
