New study lowers concern over respiratory illnesses

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – It's almost that time when seemingly every third person has the flu, COVID-19 or RSV.
A new study shows many Americans are no longer concerned about respiratory illnesses.
The survey from the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases finds many do not plan to get vaccinated – citing concerns about the side effects and distrust of vaccines.
New CDC data finds that last year just 45-percent of adults got the flu vaccine and 23-percent received a COVID-19 shot.
Health officials say an ample supply of the vaccines are available this year and they predict vaccines should be a good match for strains expected to circulate.
