NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — This week begins the International Arts Festival, and fest producer Ernest Kelly stopped by WGNO to talk about all that's on tap. "More than music, the delegates that are coming in from these 12 different countries and these are actually new ordinances to cities. Wow. And New Orleans probably has more than 40 and 12 of them are coming here for this event," said Kelly. "And we got musicians from seven different countries. And like I said, we got delegates from 12 different countries," said Kelly. The panel discussions are at Gallier Hall on Wednesday, Sept. 25 and Thursday, Sept. 26 at 9:00 a.m. Kelly also touted the music line-up. ‘Big Banana award’ fame for French Quarter restaurant "We start on Friday with a concept we're calling called Jazzy Nola, and where you know, the home of jazz. So we have Kurt Whalum and the incredible big chief Donald Harrison Jr. performing on the 27th at the Orpheum Theater. And then on Saturday, we take it to the sacred grounds of Armstrong Park and Congo Square, where we have again, we have artists performing from six countries. We have artists from Trinidad, Puerto Rico, the UK and and Scotland. So that whole live-in New Orleans vibe that they had so well with the French press is going to be the same kind of vibe," said Kelly. They will also be filming Steel Pulse.
