Sunshine and only a few clouds are expected this afternoon as highs are performing warmer than expected this midday. Today's highs could easily push into the upper 70s and close to 80 degrees. Another nice day is in store for Thursday but some drop in the temperatures is expected for the weekend to the low 70s. Rainfall around KC is trending down for the weekend as leftover moisture from Hurricane Helene may be kept farther south and east of town. Still expect additional clouds Friday through Sunday.
