"It doesn't seem real to me anyway," said neighbor Kerry Sherman who told News 4 he helped one of the victims until emergency crews arrived to render aid. Oklahoma City police say the victim that Stevens is accused of shooting, made it to his work truck, which Stevens continued to shoot into. That work truck was still on the scene Tuesday evening. "It does seem surprising," said Sherman, when asked what he thought about the vehicle still parked down his street. Sherman says he's received confirmation that the shooting victim is recovering in the hospital and is expected to be ok. "We're still hoping and praying for him," said Sherman. Court documents say, after the shooting took place Stevens walked back to his house and called his wife, telling her he was upset that the victims were clearing the land in front of his house and he shot them. Stevens is facing multiple charges including shooting with intent to kill and possession of a firearm after pleading guilty to DUI in 2016. Documents say Stevens family members were interviewed and confirmed he owns several firearms including an AR-15 style rifle allegedly used in the shooting. "It breaks my heart for them as well," said Sherman. "You know, we can't control the actions of others, so, you know, but they are definitely affected and will be for a while."
