FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A person has been rescued after getting trapped inside a storm drain in Fresno, the Fresno Fire Department said on Tuesday.
Firefighters say they responded to reports of a person trapped in a storm drain on Tuesday afternoon in Van Ness Ave. near Santa Clara St.
At the time of the report, members of the Fresno Fire Department's Urban Search and Rescue Team were training nearby. They responded to the location and said the individual in the storm drain was not injured and was able to be helped out.
Because of this incident, Fresno Fire wants to remind the public to never climb into a storm drain because they can be dangerous and possess hidden hazards.
