SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A suspect has been arrested in a hit-and-run collision that seriously injured a teenager riding an e-bike earlier this month in San Marcos. The San Diego County Sheriff's Office reported Alan Reyes, 23, was arrested Monday night after turning himself in to police under the advisement of his lawyer and has been booked into the Vista Detention Facility for charges stemming from a hit-and-run crash on Sept. 17. Teen injured in hit-and-run while riding e-bike Authorities were able to identify Reyes as the suspect after an anonymous tip led them to the vehicle suspected in the crash that critically injured a teenager who was riding an e-bike near the intersection of W. Mission Road and Knoll Road around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17 in San Marcos.   The sheriff's department said the teenager suffered major injuries in the crash and was in critical condition at the hospital still as of Sept. 19. The vehicle involved fled the scene, according to deputies. Damage was also noticed on the vehicle that matched debris left behind at the scene of the collision. Crime Stoppers was offering a $1,000 reward for information that led to an arrest in this case. Anyone who may have witnessed the hit-and-run crash or captured it on a dash camera is asked to call the San Marcos Sheriff's Station at (760) 510-5200.
