WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE)– CCRI marked a significant milestone today, celebrating its 60th anniversary at its Warwick campus.  Originally founded in 1964 as Rhode Island Junior College, CCRI has since expanded to become New England’s largest community college. Today, the institution serves nearly 18,000 students across its four campuses. During the celebrations, Interim President Rosemary Costigan reflected on CCRI’s legacy. “I got my start in higher education here at the Community College of Rhode Island,” she said. “CCRI is a gift to the state of Rhode Island, and I am so very proud of every faculty member and student.” Categories: News, Rhode Island
