University of Rhode Island Press Release KINGSTON, R.I. – Rhode Island will play seven games in front of a nationally-televised audience, according to the Atlantic 10 Conference schedule released Tuesday afternoon. Five of URI’s 18 A-10 games will be nationally broadcast, starting with a home game against George Mason on Saturday, Jan. 4. That contest is the first of two that will air on the USA Network. The other will be at Saint Louis on Saturday, Feb. 22. Rhody also has five games that will be carried by CBS Sports Network, including non-conference games against Providence (Dec. 7) and Temple (Dec. 21). CBSSN also will broadcast the team’s game at Loyola Chicago (Jan. 15), home against VCU (Jan. 21) and home against Dayton (Feb. 26). The league slate begins on New Year’s Eve for the Rams when they travel to defending-champion Duquesne. That will be followed by home games against the Georges, Mason (Jan. 4) and Washington (Jan. 8). From there, Rhody is back on the road for games against last season’s co-regular season champions. URI visits Richmond on Jan. 11 then travels to Loyola Chicago on Jan. 15. January closes out with home games against Davidson (Jan. 18) and VCU (Jan. 21), a road game at La Salle (Jan. 25) and back home for Massachusetts on Jan. 29. February begins with a midweek contest at Fordham (Feb. 5) and a trip to George Mason (Feb. 8). Rhody hosts St. Bonaventure on Feb. 12 and La Salle Feb. 15. Following a weekend excursion to Saint Louis (Feb. 22), the Rams are back home to host Dayton (Feb. 26) to close out February. The regular season closes with games at Massachusetts (March 1) and Saint Joseph’s (March 5) before a home date with Fordham (March 8) in the finale. At no point during the conference schedule does Rhode Island play more than two consecutive games at home or on the road.
