NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - Weather spotters observed a tornado in Ligonier Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. Two tornadoes confirmed Sunday in Jay County A Tornado Warning was issued for parts of Noble, LaGrange, and Steuben counties at multiple points until roughly 6:15 PM. According to the National Weather Service, the tornado was located near Ligonier at 4:25 PM, heading northeast at 20 mph. Below you can find video of an apparent tornado in Ligonier from Chase Roberts. Here's another view of what could be a tornado or at least rotating clouds in the sky from Nevin Phares. The LaGrange County Emergency Management Agency told WANE 15 that two people suffered minor injuries due to the storm after a horse buggy tipped over. The storm also caused 28,000 chickens from a food processing company to get loose, according to the LaGrange County EMA. Tornado reports also came in from Cosperville, which is between Ligonier and Rome City, and Oliver Lake in LaGrange County. Below is a recap of the storm reports. The first report was at 4:16 PM, when a trained spotter reported a tornado on the ground with debris being kicked up near Ligonier. This time is estimated by radar. The next report was of a roof being ripped off of a pole barn near Cosperville. We also got a spotter report of a tornado hitting structures in the area near Oliver Lake. Here is a look at damage we captured near Ligonier in Noble County. You can see a large tree limb blocking a road. Transitioning over to near the Oliver Lake area of LaGrange County, more significant structural damage was found. You can see roof damage and pieces of buildings toppled. Pieces of sheet metal were also tossed around. You can see the metal pieces in a nearby soybean field. Windows and parts of the side of buildings were damaged. A team will also survey damage in the Mishawaka area. Details from the survey findings are scheduled to be released late afternoon Wednesday.
