ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Monroe County Veterans Service Agency made a major announcement for veteran widows Tuesday.
Through court cases they were able to obtain more than $500,000 for two local Agent Orange widows. County Executive Adam Bello shared the stories of two wives who's late husbands were killed due to the effects of Agent Orange, a chemical herbicide used by the American military during the Vietnam War.
The VSA also helps veterans get monthly benefits, such as disability compensation, pensions, and survivor benefits for family members.
