Update: The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Osage and Shawnee Counties. This warning comes with possible 60 mile per hour winds and more than half-inch hail. This warning is in effect until 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24. The severe thunderstorm warnings expired for Jackson County at 5:08 p.m. The warning has extended for southwest Jefferson and northeast Shawnee Counties until 5:45 p.m. TOPEKA (KSNT) - Several northeast Kansas counties are under severe storm watches Tuesday afternoon.
