Louisa man convicted of 2 charges related to 450acre wildfire

LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A man charged in connection to a fire that burned over 450 acres in Louisa County in March has been found guilty.
On Tuesday, Sept. 24, James Grant League of Louisa County was found guilty of leaving a fire unattended, a class 3 misdemeanor, and careless damage to property by fire, a class 4 misdemeanor.
The Louisa County Sheriff's Office told 8News that more charges are pending in relation to alleged animal abuse and neglect on League's Louisa farm.

Deputies raided the property in August and seized 45 injured and malnourished animals, which are now under the care of state veterinarians.
