SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- Fentanyl test strips are available at more than a dozen businesses and organizations around southeastern South Dakota courtesy of Emily's Hope. The organization, dedicated to removing the stigma surrounding substance use disorder, recently distributed 4,010 test strips to 20 locations in the state. Note: While all these locations receive strips, not all of the locations are open to the public. Arch Residential Treatment Center - Sioux Falls Bar X Bar - Flandreau Cockatoo Club - Yankton Dakota Counseling Institute/Stepping Stones - Mitchell Dakota Wesleyan University - Mitchell East River Legal Services - Sioux Falls Elevate Cannabis Dispensary - Yankton Icon/DADA Gastropub - Sioux Falls Marlins/Holiday Gas Station - Mitchell St. Francis House - Sioux Falls The Banquet - Sioux Falls The Link - Sioux Falls The North 40 Bar & Grill - Bridgewater Thirsty's Bar - Mitchell United Way Vermillion/Community Connection Center - Vermillion Vishnu Bunny - Sioux Falls Siouxland Heritage Museum - Sioux Falls Bishop Dudley Hospitality House - Sioux Falls Access 180/VOA - Sioux Falls Inter-Lakes Community Action - Sioux Falls Emily's Hope has not only provided these testing strips, but also lobbied in 2023 to legalize their use. Organizations or businesses interested in receiving test strips from Emily's Hope can pick them up or have them dropped off locally. They cannot be legally mailed.
