NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) - Almost everybody knows the name 'Kleenex,' the brand name that has become almost the generic term for all facial tissue. Now, the owner of the brand, Kimberly-Clark, is celebrating its 100th anniversary. To celebrate its birthday, they opened up one of their facilities in Neenah to a special tour, showing off how the products begin. United Way Fox Cities and Jake’s Network of Hope unify, opening co-operated Diaper Bank The 'X-Mill' is the company's experimental facility where products are tested and improved before going onto larger manufacturing buildings. "The birthplace of Kimberly-Clark is on this site," X-Mill operations manager Mark Verburgt said. "It's a huge honor to still be working in this facility knowing the history and impact that we've made on the community and the world." Verburgt added that even at 100 years old, the company is still looking at methods to improve their products.
