GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - According to Brown County United Way (BCUW), one in three Brown County households live below the 'ALICE' Threshold, leaving many families struggling to acquire essentials, such as diapers. Thus, BCUW and the Greater Green Bay Labor Council partnered up to host their 13th Annual Diaper Drive. Eight schools in Wisconsin earn National Blue Ribbon Awards The drive began on Monday, which marks the beginning of National Diaper Need Awareness Week and will run through October 23. Throughout the history of the drive, over one million diapers have been donated. “The diaper drive has provided vital support to families in Brown County for more than a decade,” BCUW President and CEO Robyn Davis said via a release. “The addition of the Stuff the Bus initiative provides community members even more opportunities to contribute and make a difference.” Elgton Jenkins & Jaire Alexander help kick off 8th annual Packers vs. Cancer initiative In addition to the drive, BCUW launched its "Stuff the Bus" initiative which will place its vehicles at select stores from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesdays through Oct. 23.
