ARENA, Wis. (WFRV) - A man and a woman from Wisconsin were arrested on Monday evening after a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 14 led to the discovery of methamphetamine. According to a release, on Sept. 23, a deputy with the Iowa County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle on U.S. Highway 14 in the township of Arena. Two Wisconsin men arrested after K9 finds a large quantity of suspected heroin The traffic stop resulted in the seizure of over 92 grams of methamphetamine and a large amount of U.S. currency. Thirty-year-old Benjamin Peterson of Mazomanie was arrested for possession with intent to deliver amphetamine and two counts of felony bail jumping. (Iowa County Sheriff's Office) Additionally, Peterson's passenger, 31-year-old Haley Jorgensen of Ridgeway, was arrested for possession with intent to deliver amphetamine and a probation hold. The Iowa County Sheriff's Office says that Peterson and Jorgensen were booked into the Iowa County Jail. Two additional Green Bay men arrested for possible involvement in August murder case, charges referred "Iowa County law enforcement will continue to work to get these drugs off the street," said the Iowa County Sheriff's Office on its social media page. No additional details were provided.
