Today's severe weather threat is winding down. While some rain and storms may still scatter through up until midnight, they will not be as common as earlier today. After midnight, the rain potential will completely clear the region. Earlier today, a confirmed sighting of a tornado was made by weather spotters near Ligonier around 4:30. The tornadic potential continued all the way through southeastern LaGrange County and into NW Steuben County, including the Orland area, before moving into Michigan. If you have storm damage photos or videos, please e-mail them to us at [email protected]. Tornado seen in Ligonier prompts Tornado Warnings Our nighttime temperatures are in the 60s. Temps will be near 60° during the early morning. Wednesday morning starts off with temps at the 60° mark. By the afternoon, we'll be in the mid-70s in Fort Wayne. Highs range from the low-to-mid-70s across the region Wednesday afternoon. High temperatures will be in the mid-to-upper 70s each day the rest of the week and into the weekend. By Friday, it's possible the remnants of what is currently Tropical Storm Helene could start to track into the region. However, there is still plenty of uncertainty because some of the rain could end up being blocked from reaching us by an area of high pressure, similar to what happened with what was left over from Hurricane Francine. We'll be watching this closely. Continue to stay tuned to our WANE 15 Forecasts all week to learn how much rain to expect. Tonight: Cloudy with scattered rain and storms.
