EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - The Salvation Army of El Paso had an exciting Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 24 as it launched a new donation truck and welcomed Myriam Guerrero as the new chair of the Advisory Board, the organization announced in a news release. Photos by Shaun Felice - KTSM The organization said the donation truck, which was funded by a $25,000 sponsorship from Wellcare, will support The Salvation Army Family Thrift Store by enhancing the organization's ability to collect and distribute donated goods. The donation truck covers an average of 240 miles every week and makes frequent stops to collect and deliver donated goods, according to the organization. In addition, the organization announced the appointment of Guerrero as the new chair of the Advisory Board. Guerrero, who has served on the board for over 10 years, succeeds Claiborne Gallagher whose leadership has "greatly contributed to the organization's success," read the news release.
